Summer Dates and How to Dress for Them :)

It may be almost eight years since I went on my last first date, but the near-crippling indecision of what to wear on a date is still all too fresh in my mind. There are so many things going on in a woman’s mind when they’re trying to find that perfect date outfit, and so many variables to consider:
1. I want to look cute, but not like I’m trying to look cute.
2. What on earth do I wear to a baseball game?
3. How am I going to get on his motorcycle in a skirt?
4. If I wear this cocktail ring and he goes to hold my hand, will it be in the way?
5. I am always freezing at the movies, but I don’t want to wear too many layers.
If you’ve had thoughts like these before, then you know exactly what I am talking about. The problem is, we want our date night looks to be completely effortless. We don’t want to be seen tugging on our dress straps, fidgeting with our panty hose or pulling up our bras at any point during the evening; it ruins the illusion of perfection that we’re always trying to create (that is, until we’re on date four or five, and we can start to let little bits and pieces of our real selves show).
Well, now that summer is almost upon us, it’s time to start thinking about all of those great date nights that could be filling up your social calendars very soon. And in order to help put your date wardrobe fears to rest, I’ve put together some outfit ideas for several possible warm weather date scenarios.

For a Ballgame Date …
Just because you’re going on a sportier date doesn’t mean you can't wear a skirt or a dress. Just look for more athletic details and casual, laid-back pieces and you’ll definitely score big points.
For a Beach Date …
If you’re headed for a date in the sand, I love the idea of a fun romper over your swimsuit. And going to the beach is the perfect excuse to break out a fabulous hat and cat eye sunglasses.
For a Flea Market Date …
If you’re headed to a flea market on a date, then some whimsical pieces – think pastels, flowers, lace and polka dots – will be totally charming. Don’t forget a big enough handbag for your purchases
For an Outdoor Concert Date …
Outdoor concerts are a perfect chance to break out your more casual, bohemian pieces. I love the idea of a novelty print dress or an exotic print. And braided flat sandals are the perfect punctuation.

For a Dinner and a Movie date …
If I were headed to dinner and a movie, I’d want to make sure I wore pieces that were feminine, but simplistic. A hint of ruffle, or a tiny bit of sparkle, is just enough to make these pieces stand out.

How to Dress Yourself Slim

I am far from what most people in the fashion industry would call “slim.” I’ve got boobs, hips and thighs that I inherited from my mother (and her mother before that). I’ve floated between a size 10 and a size 12 for most of my life. And instead of trying to fight against what I was blessed with, I have learned to accentuate those curves and – using the sneakiest of wardrobe tricks – dress myself slim.
With most women in this country being a size 14, perhaps it's time for us to try simply changing our clothes instead of constantly trying to change our bodies. I think we could all certainly use a good dose of positivity when we’re getting dressed in the morning. If we’re wearing things that make us feel fabulous, then only good things can happen, right?
I’ve put together some simple rules that I personally always try to follow when I am shopping for clothes and putting together outfits.

Rule #1: Always define your waist.
This is so important! When I try things on that look like a tent, I feel like a tent. It’s that simple. With either the pattern, the cut of the garment or the simple addition of a belt – it’s always wise to highlight your waist and show off how tiny it is. It really does instantly give you an hourglass shape, which is so important. Make sure that you’re defining your natural waist, too. Too high, and it can make either your chest or tummy bigger than it; too low and it can make your top half look larger. I cannot tell you how many women I see on a daily basis who aren’t showing off their small waists!

Rule #2: Think “long.”
Next time you’re out shopping or looking at clothes, look for pieces that have long stripes – either going right down the front or down the sides of the garment. Sure, it’s a visual trick on the eyes, but hey, whatever works! Any kinds of long stripes, panels or piping can all make you look longer. Why? Because your eye automatically goes down the length of the garment, and it creates a very slimming effect. They do the opposite of what we all feel horizontal stripes do J
Rule #3: Practice your Geometry.
This is one of my favorite tricks to employ. Beyond just accenting your natural waist, look above and below at what you’re wearing and think of two triangles. Place them on top of one another, with the top triangle upside down and the bottom triangle right side up. Now picture them meeting in the middle … what do you get? A perfect hourglass silhouette. So, if you’re worried about having a larger chest, accent your shoulders. The eye immediately goes up there, and away from your chest. Then, if your waist is accented, the eye immediately drifts down to that tiny waist. And from there, they’ll see your gorgeous hips as your skirt flows away from your body.
Rule #4: Elongate from head to toe.
I get really annoyed when I see square-toed shoes. Stop it! You might as well be cutting your legs right off! A square or super rounded toe will own make your legs look shorter. You want the line of your leg to continue on gracefully … not end abruptly. Try a pointy toe, which can really make your legs look miles longer. Trust me, it works.
Rule #5: Perfect your proportions.
When I’m looking for outfit inspiration, I love looking at style guides, magazines, lookbooks – anything I can get my hands on that shows how different brands pair their pieces together in unexpected ways. You can see from these examples what a nice full skirt does, how a longer top with a short pair of shorts can make your legs look longer and leaner, and how simply tucking a shirt into a skirt can instantly make you look leaner. Try playing with different proportions like these, and you might discover new outfit combinations that give you a boost.

If you give some of these rules a try, you may just find yourself feeling fabulous instead of frumpy … good luck!

Have a nice day
xoxo

3 Things To Consider Before Getting Ombre Hair Color

1. Consider your profession and future aspirations before you go with the bolder shades.
The A-listers have started a trend that essentially looks like “grown out” color, which, thankfully, makes it easier on those of us who just don’t have the time to traipse to the salon every few weeks for a retouch. However, remember, the more creative a person chooses to be with their color shading, the more attention they may acquire.

2. Choose shades that will compliment your skin tone as well as wardrobe choices.
A person can choose one (1) to three (3) colors to shade for the “Ombre” effect. In the warmer months, shoot for lighter, more vibrant shades and in the winter months, choose cooler, more ash tones.
For a dark chocolate beauty: deep reds, coppers, and cool ash make for beautiful choices.
For the caramel-coated lovely: rich browns, coppers, possibly even violets (depending on career character).
For the fair maiden: ash tones, subdued blondes, golden caramel tones will add warmth to her olive skin

3. If there has been a previous color, you WILL NOT be able to achieve the “Ombre” effect successfully without some color correction (or maybe even more drastic measures).
Though it may look as if this now infamous look can be achieved at home, it is necessary to visit a professional establishment for the best results.

How to Become a Tumblr Girl

  1. Get your look right. You need a unique style, don't copy what they wear, trends start by being different. Wear the right amount of make-up (if you even wear makeup), don't go overboard. Wear an amount that you feel comfortable with.

  • 2
Take cool photographs. Use a filter to make your photos look more scenic. They usually have Helvetica writing and nebula.
  • 3
Interact with people. Accept compliments (modestly!).
  • 4
Follow people. Tumblr is a site where you get popular by followers, follow people and re-blog their pictures and ask questions. You'll be surprised how many followers you'll get.
  • 5
Create a persona. This flawless persona, however, is only for pictures. Try to avoid believing you really are the persona you create; keep it fun.
  • 6
Get a good tan and wear cool hipster clothes. High waisted shorts are must have, and hipster glasses as well, if you want to be a Tumblr girl . Get swoop bangs or curl your hair. Cute messy buns and updos are also very Tumblr-girlie, right now. Dramatic eyelashes are popular too; so try wearing false lashes and/or mascara to make your eyelashes look more dramatic.
  • 7
Make sure you have other social networking accounts. Be sure to follow these steps on those accounts as well

    STRIPED PANT TREND FOR SUMMER

There are two hottest prints this year, first the floral, which is beautiful but not really my thing and the second is something I was quite surprised that I like it so much, the stripes. I have a few striped shirts on my closet but those are the last thing I wanted to wear, I’m not really into it but striped pants somewhat have a different appeal to me. Whenever I slip into my striped pants whether pairing it with boots or stilettos I feel so edgy, I feel like I’m Debbie Harry! Just in case you don’t know her -because majority of my friends doesn’t know most of my favorite musicians-  she is the vocalist of “Blondie” the rock band who originally sang “One Way or Another” the same song  those pretty British lads called One Direction sang.
Black and white ones are the classic look of striped pants and obviously the most favorite but actually there are more colorful versions and some are even a mix of the two hottest print trends this year.

    Thnx for reading :)

10 Ways to Wake Up Gorgeous

    1. Change Your Sleep Style

    Bad news for stomach sleepers.
The average head weighs 7 to 8 pounds—that’s a lot of pressure to be putting on your face night after night. In fact, most dermatologists can tell what side of the face you’re sleeping on by the number of wrinkles there. Eek.
If you just can’t sleep on your back, try sleeping on your side with a body pillow. Your face won’t be as smashed into the pillow.
For those of you who are fortunate enough to be back-sleepers, try throwing an extra pillow under your head. Gravity helps lymph and blood flow so fluid won't accumulate. In other words, wake up without any puff in your eyes.

    2. Whiten Your Teeth

Long gone are the days of sitting around waiting for sticky strips to whiten your teeth. Products like Crest Night Effects are formulated for nighttime use. Simply paint a bit of the product on each of your “smile teeth” and wake up with a whiter smile.

    3. Moisturize Your Feet

What better time to sleep with comfy socks than winter? Slick a coat of super thick moisturizer onto feet—or even better, Aquafor or Vaseline. Slip on socks to lock in moisture. Feet will be pedicure-soft in the morning.
If you’re a deep sleeper, you can also apply lotion to your hands and wear gloves while you sleep. You may feel silly, but you will wake up with hands that are soft and beautiful.

    4. Try Frownies

Wearing Frownies—which you would never wear in public—while you sleep helps prevent lines and wrinkles around the eye and mouth areas. Of course, you can stick to your regular ol’ night cream, but chances are it rubs off during the night.

    5. Add Volume

Piling hair on to the top of your head with a soft hair tie (scrunchie, anyone?) will add major volume in the morning.  Be sure to use something soft to pull hair up to avoid crimping and kinking.

    6. Treat Your Hair While You Sleep

Once a week, try sleeping with a deep conditioner or night-time treatment on your hair.
Frederic Fekkai’s Nightime Follicle Boosting Treatment claims to energize the hair follicle with oxygen, marine glycogen, and caffeine while you sleep to stimulate the growth of thicker, fuller hair.

    7. Wake Up Glowing

Mix in a drop of self-tanner with your night cream, or try using a moisturizer that already contains a bit of tanner. This is best done a solid hour before bed, so nothing rubs off when you sleep.

    8. Sleep on Satin

To minimize the dreaded morning bed-head, sleep on a satin pillowcase, or tie a silk scarf around your hair. It’s a much softer material than cotton, so there's less friction to cause frizz.

    9. Sleep in Your Makeup

You heard us. Bare Escentuals’s Rare Minerals line makes a Skin Revival Treatment, which is basically a foundation that treats skin. Said to renew skin, fight lines, and reduce pores, this is one makeup you can fall asleep while wearing.

    10. Lash Out

Said to increase the appearance of lash length by 152 percent (!), Tarte MultiplEYE Lash Enhancer is the perfect before-bed eye treatment. The best part? The $65 price tag is a lot more affordable than Latisse.

HOW TO STYLE YOUR HAIR INTO A BOW

Here’s a sweet little hairdo for girls of all ages. This look is super easy to recreate in just a few simple steps. The hairstyle works best on mid-length to long hair, but can be adapted for shorter hair too. The “hair” bow is perfect for a casual day out or for a night to remember.

Follow these simple steps to create an adorable hairdo: The Hair Bow!

    1. Prep clean, dry hair with a light hold working hairspray. Brush hair to remove any tangles.
    2. Smooth hair up into a high ponytail. Secure with a rubber band that matches your hair color. (A white rubber band is used here for demonstration only.)
    3. Separate hair into three sections: two large strands with one small strand in the center.
    4. Start your bow by taking the left side strand and backcombing the reverse side for fullness.
    5. Tuck ends in and shape into place. Secure with a bobby pin.
    6. Now, take right side strand and backcomb the reverse side for fullness. Tuck the ends in and shape into place. Secure with a bobby pin.
    7. Next, take the small center strand and backcomb lightly. Make a small loop and roll hair back to create the center of your hair bow. Pin into place with a bobby pin and set your style with a hard hold hairspray.

Add Bananas To Your Skincare Routine

Aside from the fact that they are delicious, bananas are a quick and easy addition to your natural skin care routine.

    Skin Softner

The quickest way to smooth and soften dry skin is to mash a ripe banana with a fork and rub it all over your face. Leave on for about 10 minutes and rinse well with lukewarm water. You just have to try this one!
If you are in need of a good facial mask:
    • 1 ripe banana
    • 1 tablespoon of honey and
    • 1 tablespoon of fine ground oats
    • 1 egg yolk.
Mash all ingredients together until you have a smooth consistency. Dampen your face and apply.  Leave the mixture on your face for about 20 minutes and rinse well. It’s easy peasy and it works!
Note: For oily skin substitute 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt for the egg yolk.
Here’s a few Banana Facts aka Health Benefits
Bananas consist mainly of sugars (glucose, fructose and sucrose) and fiber which makes them ideal for an immediate and slightly prolonged source of energy. Instead of coffee or a candy bar reach for a banana and a bottle of water.
They also contain the amino acid, tryptophan which has been proven to lift the spirits. If you’re down in the dumps a banana or two might just perk you up a bit
Finally bananas are a natural source of potassium which helps the circulatory system deliver oxygen to the brain and aids in regulating blood pressure.
These are just a few of the many health benefits to be gained from eating a banana or two. Who knew?? :*

    Look Amazing in Any Photo

Look Amazing in Any Photo With These Ten Easy Tricks

In the age of smartphones, Facebook and Instagram, there's a camera everywhere - and your most embarrassing photos ever taken can end up on the internet quicker than you can say cheese. Make the most of the moment by looking your very best every time the shutter snaps with these simple tips from photo-shoot pros.

    PRACTICE YOUR POSE
What would you do to improve your skills at anything else? You'd practice! You can - and should - do just the same to look better in photos. "It sounds corny, but practice in front of the mirror for a few days to discover what your best angles are," says portrait photographer Diana Lannes. For example, "some of us have a better side," she points out. Find out what yours is by taking a couple dozen selfies to compare. While you're at it, practice different expressions and body positions.
    TWIST TO LOOK SLIMMER
There aren't many things more humiliating than discovering a tagged photo of yourself on Facebook that packs on ten pounds with just the flash of a camera bulb. How you pose, however, can make a tremendous difference in how slender you appear in pictures - and the strategy is pretty simple. "Stand slightly to the side and twist towards the camera for a slimming effect," explains Lannes.
    TILT YOUR HEAD
When posing for a portrait, follow the lead of Hollywood celebrities, who make a living out of never taking a bad shot. To avoid a double- (or triple-) chin, first elongate your neck, then angle your jaw down just a touch. "Many people look good with head tilted slightly down, and eyes straight into the camera," says Lannes.
    BECOME A (TEMPORARY) TEETOTALER
If you're preparing for special photographs that you (and others) will look at for decades to come - like a wedding or a family studio session - it might be worth laying off the booze and other unhealthy habits beforehand and spending time resting up and living well instead. "I always tell folks to prepare a few days in advance, or even a week, to ensure they look their best," says Lannes. "Get lots of sleep and exercise, drink lots of water, eat good, healthy food - and preferably no salt or alcohol, which makes people puffy."
APPLY MASCARA TO TOP LASHES ONLY
If getting extra rest just isn't possible, fake it. "Two coats of black mascara on the upper lashes lift the eyes, hiding puffiness," says celebrity makeup artist Andrew Sotomayor. "Curling lashes before applying mascara enhances the effect and makes you look like you've had an extra hour of sleep."
    TRY A COOL-TONED CONCEALER
Sotomayor recommends choosing an under-eye concealer that's one or two shades lighter than your skin tone. "Going lighter than that can create a white halo effect," he warns, and suggests selecting a product like L'Oreal True Match concealer, which is available in cool tones with more peachy pink pigment to counteract blue-grey under eye discoloration.
    TURN OFF THE FLASH
You probably noticed that the flash in your iPhone's camera doesn't make for the most gorgeous archival photos. If possible, make use of natural light to make you look more photogenic, yes, and also for a better photo overall.
    MINIMIZE SHINE
"A little glow on the cheekbones can lift the face, but excess shine can reveal uneven texture. Use a matte powder on the forehead, under the eyes, and over rough skin for smoother look," suggests Sotomayor. "Word of caution: There are some products out there claiming to create a matte finish that contain minerals or even sparkles. Either one will look shiny on camera."
    HYDRATE SKIN
Fresh, hydrated skin always looks better on camera, so be sure to use a moisturizer well ahead of any important pictures. Unless you're going to be shooting outside for an extended period, skip the sunscreen, adds Sotomayor, as it "may create unwanted shine or a white effect."
    SMILE AND BE YOURSELF
You'll look best in photos when you look like you're happy and enjoying the moment - and when you look like yourself. "Above all, try to make it fun," says Lannes. "Don't take it too seriously. The more your natural personality comes through, the better the results. Be yourself, laugh, and find joy." But what if you're not actually having fun? In that case, change your mindset and think about how you felt during some of your life's favorite moments.

How to: Wear High Waisted Shorts

Tips and Tricks for Wearing High Waist Shorts

    1) “High Waisted” is relative. To rock this trend, you don’t need to go out and find a pair of shorts that reaches above your belly button. If you have a shorter torso (or a larger bust), go for styles that are cut comfortably over your hip bones, but not all the way up to the smallest part of your waist. Because low-cut styles have been popular for so long, even a mid-rise cut will give you the look of the trend!

    2) Tuck in your shirt. This is a no-brainer, but show off your trendsetting ways but tucking in your top and emphasizing your new shorts.

    3) DIY a pair! A good way to test the waters on this trend is to pick up a pair of jeans from a thrift shop and cut them into shorts yourself. Cuff the hems for an extra cute look. Don’t worry if you grab a pair that’s a little big on you — the style will look great with a belt, and the looseness throughout the butt and thighs will look more “street chic” than “Mom Jean!”

    4) Show some leg. To balance out the length of high waisted shorts, I love the look of Nicole Richie’s (pictured above) short-shorts! This will elongated your legs and keep you from looking stumpy, if you’re worried about that sort of thing.

    5) Embrace the more mature look. Another way to wear the high waisted shorts trend is to go for a dressier look, like Blake Lively and our street style fashionista did, above. Pair your shorts with heels to feel extra elegant.

    6) Consider the top. A tank or simple t-shirt will look chic with high waisted shorts, but pair them with a button-down dress shirt for a Katherine Hepburn aesthetic.

    7) Wear them with a cropped top! If you’re a little tummy-shy like me, high waisted shorts are perfect for pairing with cropped tops! The only skin people will see is the part between your belly button and ribcage — the tiniest place on most girls’ torsos.

    8) Try them with swimsuits. High waisted shorts, especially the nautical variety, will look fabulous paired with your favorite bikini for a fun new cover-up. These will look great and make you feel like you’re straight out of a movie filmed at the French Riviera!

    9) Be confident! It takes a bold girl to rock these babies — hold your head up high and let the world know how great you know you look!

    How to Dress Swag

    1) Have the right attitude. You can't dress swag or fly without feeling swag or fly. Swag is a way of life, not just a style of fashion. Swag clothes can be a little out there or outright ridiculous, and to be able to pull them off, you have to act like everything you wear is cool and that your body looks great in your clothes. Here's how you do it:
    • Have a healthy amount of confidence. If people see that you're happy with who you are, what you do, and what you wear, then they will be more likely to love your fly look.
    • Don't care what people think. You should know you look good and not care whether other people think you look fly or whack. Though you shouldn't ignore other people's criticism if it's reasonable, you should be comfortable with doing your own thing, which will come out in your outfits.
    • Be proud of your body. Whether you're stick thin or more on the voluptuous side, you should be proud of the body you've got and wear clothes that flaunt your best features. Being proud of your body also means knowing which clothes are flattering to your look, and which make you look a little bit ridiculous.
    • Love your style. You should know that you have a unique style that no one can duplicate. Even if you try to make your wardrobe more swag or fly, you will still have a unique style that is you no matter what. Whenever you dress, your attitude should be, "I'm already awesome and I'm just adding to my rockin' style."
    2) Have the right face and hair. Your face is the first thing people see, so you should make sure your face lets people know that you are fly. You should take time to groom yourself, but not look like you spent hours on your hair and makeup. Here's how you do it:
    • Have smoky eyes. Wear black or dark eyeliner or mascara and dark eyeshadow. Your eyes should look luscious and mysterious at the same time.
    • Wear lip gloss or lipstick. Show off your lips with a subtle shade or gloss.
    • Have a bold hair style. You can have short and spiky hair, hair that falls to your chin with side-swept bangs, or long wavy hair that falls past your shoulders.
    • Change your hair from time to time. If you get bored with your look, dye your hair a loud purple or red, or go from long hair to short.
    • Put product in your hair to enhance your look, but not so much that your hair looks greasy.
    • Rock a face piercing, if you can. A piercing in your nose or on your eyebrow can add to your fly look.

    3) Wear swag tops. The right top will show people that you're proud of your unique look as well as your body. You can show off your stomach, or wear loose and baggy t-shirts if that's what you're in the mood for. Whatever top you wear, you have to make sure to wear it right and that it goes with your look. Here are some things to try:
    • Tank tops. Your tank top can be tight, a little loose, or strapless if you're feeling bold. If you want to show off your rockin' abs, you can wear a belly shirt or even a half-top.
    • T-shirts. You can wear a big baggy t-shirt, a graphic tee, or a shirt with a prominent logo on it.
    • Jackets. Leather or letterman jackets will complete your look.
    • Jerseys. Wear a jersey or jacket with your favorite current basketball player's last name on the back. Or, for a more retro look, wear something with the name of Jordan or another retired player on it. Part of being fly is not caring if everything you're wearing is up-to-date. It doesn't matter where or when it's from, as long as it looks good.
    • If you're feeling bold, wear a top barely bigger than a bikini under a jacket. If you can rock it, why not?
    • Wear a hoodie or a sweatshirt with a well-known logo like Adidas on it.
    • Wear a gold jacket with a lot of zippers.

    4) Look swag from the belt down. Your shirt and pants should go together, or should purposefully not match. A tight shirt will look fly with baggy pants, and a baggy top can work great with tight pants. If you want to look fly, you have to have the bottoms to pull of your look. Here are a few options to try:

  • Put on a pair of drop-crotch or chachi pants. They'll look fly with a tight t-shirt or tank top.
  • Wear a pair of baggy sweat pants with bright kicks and a tight top.
  • Show what you've got and put on a pair of booty shorts.
  • Skinny jeans or loose skinny jeans.
  • Wear anything loud or bright. Don't be afraid to wear bright yellow or neon if it feels right.
  • Rock animal prints. Wear pants with zebra stripes or leopard spots to bring attention to yourself.
  • Baggy basketball shorts can be great for your look too.

    5) Wear fly kicks. Your shoes can make or break your outfit and can be the item that holds all of your wild patterns together. Your shoes can be the loudest and most fun part of your outfit, so you can't go wrong as long as you're trying to be outrageous. Here are some shoes to wear:
    • Wear name-brand basketball shoes like Adidas, Supra, or Nike.
    • Wear black and white converse. Keep the laces on or you'll look not hip, but like a hipster.
    • Wear black socks along with your shoes, and pull them up high.
    • If you want to be dressy, put on a pair of loud chunky black, gold, or silver heels.

    6) Have fly accessories. Part of having swag or fly is having the confidence to put yourself out there. This means that having loud, fun, or silly accessories can help complete your look. When you're trying to be fly, just a few key items can pull off your look, or you can wear a lot of accessories at once — and do it with pride. These are some swag accessories that can tie your hip outfit together:
    • Put on jewelry, and lots of it. Wear silver and gold hoop earrings, chunky black necklaces, chains, or dog tags.
    • Wear chunky rings, bangles, and spiky bracelets.
    • Cover your head with a bandana, snap-back hat, or just a baseball hat with a wide brim.
    • Wear oversized glasses with a black frame.
    • Paint your nails black or a bold color.

How to Have Your Own Style

5 ways to have your own style :)

    1)  Assess your wardrobe. Look in your closet and drawers and take note of the kinds of clothes you have already purchased for yourself. You will probably see some patterns of your buying behavior.
    2)  Pull your absolute favorite clothes out of the closet and line them up on your bed. Only pick clothes that you love and could never part with.

    3) Look at each outfit you have chosen and ask yourself why you love it.
      • Is it comfortable?
      • Does it make you feel sexy? Powerful? Fun?
      • Think about how you feel every time you wear each of your favorite outfits. Is there a common denominator?

    4) Decide if you wear clothes to impress others or to feel good while you are wearing them. Do you lean towards “fashion over comfort” or “comfort over fashion?”

    5) Are your favorite outfits appropriate for most of your daily activities?
    • Do you tend to buy clothes that you are drawn to, even if they are utterly impractical for your lifestyle? If so, those clothes are definitely “your style.”
    • If you gravitate towards hot pink sundresses, but you have to wear a tailored business suit to work, try to take a bit of your style with you every day—add a colorful silk scarf to your ensemble and the longest earrings allowable at your place of employment. You won’t be wearing your hot pink sundress, but you will have a more individual look that expresses your personality.
